Canadian Dental Care Plan — accepted at Suncoast

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal program that helps eligible Canadians afford dental care. It's administered by Sun Life on behalf of the Government of Canada and reduces the out-of-pocket cost of routine dental services for qualifying families, seniors, children, and adults — based on adjusted family net income and other criteria.

Suncoast Dental is enrolled in CDCP, which means we can direct-bill the program for covered services. You typically pay only the portion CDCP doesn't cover (which can be zero depending on your income tier), and we handle the paperwork. On the day-to-day, what CDCP coverage means at Suncoast is that routine cleanings, exams, X-rays, and most preventive and restorative services come with little or no out-of-pocket cost for eligible patients. For more involved treatment plans — implants, orthodontics, or major cosmetic work — CDCP coverage varies by procedure and isn't comprehensive. We're transparent about what's covered and what isn't, and we coordinate predetermination with both CDCP and any private insurance you may have so there are no surprise bills after treatment.
