Teeth-in-a-Day exists for patients whose teeth are failing now and who don't want to spend the next six months wearing dentures while implants integrate. It's also the answer for long-time denture wearers who've been told they can't have implants. We see this story constantly — our patients never go without teeth.
Teeth-in-a-Day combines what would normally be three separate appointments — extractions, implant placement, and temporary teeth fitting — into a single surgical visit. The protocol is usually performed using the All-on-4 or All-on-X implant geometry, with the count tailored to your bone density.
Your fixed temporary teeth are designed and printed in our on-site SprintRay 3D-printing lab the same day, so you leave the practice with teeth that look and function like permanent ones. They stay in place during the 3–6 months of healing while the implants integrate with the bone, then are replaced with the final permanent prosthesis.
For patients with severe bone loss who've been told they aren't candidates for conventional implants, Teeth-in-a-Day is still often possible using zygomatic or pterygoid implants — the same-day protocol with alternative anchoring.
From arrival to leaving with fixed temporary teeth — most cases follow this sequence over a single half-day visit.
Before surgical day, a separate appointment for CBCT imaging, treatment planning, and surgical-guide design. You leave with a clear written plan and a date.
On arrival, the anesthesiologist or sedation provider starts your sedation — IV moderate or general anesthesia based on your choice. You feel nothing for the rest of the procedure.
Any remaining teeth in the arch are extracted. Four (or more) implants are placed using the custom surgical guide, with X-Nav navigation on complex cases. Typically 2–3 hours per arch.
Fixed temporary teeth, designed and printed in our on-site lab, are attached to the implants. You wake up with fixed teeth — same shape and feel as the permanent restoration will have.
Soft-food diet for the first 1–2 weeks; follow-ups during recovery. After 3–6 months of healing, the temporaries are replaced with the permanent prosthesis (zirconia, porcelain, or hybrid).
