Communities we serve across Huron and Bruce County

Suncoast Dental is in Goderich and serves patients from throughout Huron and Bruce County. We're a regional resource for capabilities not typically available in smaller community practices — on-site general anesthesia (only RCDSO-approved GA permit in the area), advanced implants including remote-anchorage, and same-day 3D-printed restorations.

Why patients travel to Suncoast

A regional resource for advanced capability

Most patients use a local dentist for routine cleanings and checkups — that's the right choice for convenience and continuity. Suncoast is positioned as a regional resource for the procedures that small-town practices can't easily provide. The biggest single moat is on-site general anesthesia: Suncoast is the only practice in the area with the RCDSO-approved permit, delivered by an anesthesiologist from London Health Sciences Centre. That capability is the difference between hospital admission and a single-visit dental treatment plan.

Beyond GA, the things that bring patients in from across the region include the full implant menu (All-on-4, All-on-X, zygomatic, pterygoid, trans-sinus, trans-nasal), X-Nav navigated implant surgery, our on-site SprintRay 3D-printing lab, CBCT 3D imaging (also offered to local dentists at a discount), and digital and AI smile design for cosmetic planning. Dr. Larsen's TMJ and orofacial pain training from USC is another draw for specific cases.

We accept patients directly — no referral needed. Many regional patients use Suncoast specifically for the moat procedures and keep their local dentist for routine care; we coordinate with home dentists when that's the right structure. For longer-distance patients, we plan treatment to compress work into fewer visits — single-visit GA cases, grouped appointments, and same-day restorations whenever possible.

Beyond patient care, Suncoast is also a regional resource for other dentists. CBCT 3D imaging is offered to local dentists at a discount for their own cases. Pediatric referrals from surrounding offices are welcomed via Dr. Sean Beattie's monthly visits. Implant cases that need on-site GA or remote-anchorage capability are common referral routes. The aim is to be the practice colleagues can confidently send patients to for the procedures their own offices aren't set up for.

Coming from out of town — frequently asked

Common questions for patients traveling to Suncoast from across the region.

No. We accept direct bookings for everything we do, including implants, GA cases, oral surgery, and complex restorative work. If you've been referred by another dentist we coordinate with them; if you're booking on your own we work directly with you.
Yes — many regional patients use this structure. They keep their local dentist for cleanings, checkups, and simple work; they use Suncoast for the specific procedures we have unique capability for. We coordinate care across practices when that's the right structure.
We plan ahead — combining procedures into single-visit GA cases when appropriate, grouping appointments to reduce the total number of trips, and using same-day restoration capability where possible. Travel time matters and shapes the treatment plan.
Welcome — we accept referrals from regional dental offices. See our referrals page for what to send and how. We're particularly set up to handle implant cases, sedation cases, complex extractions, biopsies, and CBCT-imaged cases.
Same-day appointments are available where possible. Call (226) 22SMILE if you're in acute pain, have a broken tooth, an abscess, or trauma. See our emergency care page for details.
