Digital dentures replace the traditional impression-and-lab workflow with a digital one. We take a 3D intraoral scan of your mouth (or of existing dentures for replacements), design the denture in software, and mill or 3D-print the final result in our on-site SprintRay lab — Dr. Byron Larsen is a SprintRay key opinion leader, which means we run the technology at a level usually reserved for specialist and academic settings.
The result is a denture that typically fits better than a traditionally-fabricated one because every measurement is precise to digital tolerances. The process is also faster — most cases complete in 2 to 3 appointments instead of the 4 to 5 a traditional denture often requires. And because the digital design is stored, replacement dentures (years later when wear or jaw changes call for it) can be fabricated faster and at lower cost.
Digital dentures aren't always the right choice — for some patients, traditional fabrication still has advantages, particularly in cases of complex anatomical adaptation. We'll be honest about which workflow is right for you. Most cases work well digitally, but we won't push the digital approach if your case is better served by traditional methods. For patients who want more stability than a traditional denture provides, implant-retained dentures or implant-supported dentures are also options to consider.

We design the denture in CAD software, balancing fit, function, and aesthetics. The design can be reviewed with you before fabrication if you'd like.
For complex cases, a printed try-in lets you see and feel the proposed denture before final fabrication. Adjustments to shape or position are easy at this stage.
Milled or 3D-printed in our on-site lab. The digital workflow produces precise tolerances — the final denture typically requires minimal adjustment at delivery.
Final fitting, bite check, and any small adjustments to ensure comfort and function. Follow-up appointments scheduled for any further adjustments during the initial wear period.
